About the Foundation
Following Richard Wilson's tragic death in December 2000, the Foundation was established to provide funds each year to support youth sports organisations and individuals in the Wrea Green locality, now extended to the greater Fylde and Preston area.

Objectives and Constitution
The primary objectives of the Foundation are as follows:
- To raise funds in support of normally local and young sportspeople and sporting groups in the parishes of Ribby with Wrea and Westby with Plumptons (now extended to the greater Fylde and Preston area), to aid their personal and skill development in their chosen activities
- To help provide sport and leisure facilities
- To help improve existing sport and leisure facilities in the parishes of Ribby with Wrea and Westby with Plumptons (now extended to the greater Fylde and Preston area) and the affiliated clubs and organisations associated with these parishes.
